I really want to study abroad, but the only year I can do occurding to my guidance counselor is senior year. Is it worth missing my senior year or should i take a gap year or do it in college? IDK and its so frustrating. Any advice would be appreciated.

well, first off, maybe you should figure out why your councilor said you can only go senior year. I am planning to go junior year, because that is what's best for me. I have met others who went senior year and liked that the best. I would suggest against going senior year, because a year away from friends will create distance between you and then you go off to college. It would make it very difficult to maintain these relationships. Perhaps a gap year would be the best. Just remember that it is a personal decision and only you can make the right one for yourself. Good luck!

My guidance counselor said that my school won't grant me credit for classes unless I take summer school, not to mention it will be my junior year this coming fall, so I have to prepare for college. But you are completely right I just need to make a decision that will be best for me. Thank you. =)
